Pennsylvania Women Work is dedicated to helping individuals from diverse backgrounds achieve economic self-sufficiency.  As part of the Buhl Foundation’s Quality of Employment strategy of the One Northside initiative, Pennsylvania Women Work is providing training and employment services to low-income heads of households and individuals in transition on the Northside.  Through Project GROW (Generations Realizing Occupational Wellness), which targets employment services to help young, low-income parents pursue family sustaining career paths, and New Choices, which teaches work readiness, financial management and computer literacy through a combination of workshops and individual counseling, Pennsylvania Women Work will target services to low-income families living on the Northside and empower them to realize economic self-sufficiency.
